$49 exam that includes x-rays

Want to keep your visits nice and boring? Having regular exams is the way to go – and at the root of preventative care. It helps us catch problems early on, when they’re much easier, less painful, and less expensive to treat.

Many dental diseases will not show symptoms or cause pain in the early stages. So by the time you’re saying “ouch”, things may already have progressed. That’s a pretty good reason to keep up your visits.

How often should I have a dental exam?

This depends on a few factors including your unique oral health needs, and your overall health and lifestyle. In general, we recommend an exam at least twice a year.

What can I expect during a dental exam?

We’ll be looking around for anything that might be affecting your oral health. We have a full checklist of things to examine that you can’t see on your own. It’s important to catch them early, because they can eventually affect your overall health and comfort.

What kinds of things do you check for during an exam?

We’ll be checking for all kinds of things like early signs of cavities, your teeth spacing and bite, and how previous dental work like root canals, fillings, and crowns are holding up.

We’ll also take a good gander at your gums. We want to make sure they’re not inflamed, which can lead to tooth and bone loss if not caught early on.

Besides teeth and gums, we check out your overall oral health. This includes: signs of mouth or throat cancer, and other suspicious growths or cysts; and signs of bleeding or inflammation on your tongue and on the roof or floor of your mouth.

But wait there’s more! We’ll let you know if it appears that you grind or clench and how that might be affecting you. We’ll then provide you with treatment options, because these things can actually lead to hearing loss, headaches and tooth loss if things get serious.

What can I expect during an x-ray?

Based on your exam, we’ll let you know if you need an x-ray. X-rays show us things we can’t see otherwise, even with our keen dentist eyes. They are quick and painless. If we spot anything, we’ll show you and discuss a treatment plan. It’s important to us that you don’t leave our chair without a full understanding of your options.

Cleanings

We recommend coming in every six months as part of your oral care routine to prevent future issues. Regular cleanings help prevent gum disease. Plus, it’s always nice to run your tongue over those super smooth ivories as you walk out the door!

I brush my teeth so why do I need a cleaning?

Crevasses. Crannies. Cracks. No matter how well you clean your teeth there will always be areas that are hard, or next to impossible, to fully clean by yourself.

Extractions

Every once in a while, you might need a tooth taken out. Don’t panic, we’re here to provide you with the care and comfort you need to make the whole process entirely forgettable.

What to expect during a tooth extraction?

We will start by desensitizing the area around the tooth and injecting local anesthesia. After you’re comfortably numb (a great track to listen to while we do it by the way) we’ll carefully remove the tooth and have you on your way.

Simple root canals

Wait…root canals can be simple? Yes! These days, the procedure is about as simple and straightforward as getting a filling, with minimal discomfort or pain in most cases. So the next time you’re searching for an example of something painful, you’ll need to refer to your taxes instead!

Fillings

Chances are, even if you floss like a boss, you might need a filling now and again. It’s important to take care of these in good time to prevent further tooth decay or damage.

What can I expect if I need a filling?

We’re all about making you feel calm and comfortable. We’ll get you ready for your filling by desensitizing the area and using numbing gel. (Repeat after us, “Your mouth is getting sleepy…”) Depending on how many fillings you need, we can have you on your way, all smiles, within an hour or so.

Emergency toothache management

The only thing more painful than a toothache is getting one at an inconvenient time. That’s why we provide emergency toothache management for everything from oral infections and severe discomfort, to cracked or broken teeth.

Schedule an appointment online or through our app 24/7, and we'll do everything we can to fit you in ASAP. We’ll work to relieve your pain and fix the problem on the same day you come in.

Aaargh! When will the pain stop?

We hear you, and we hate to see anyone feeling this way. We’ll do everything we can to make the pain stop and rectify the problem right away. So you can leave relieved.

What if I need a new tooth?

We’ll help you manage your pain, and handle tooth extractions, but for services like dental implants, bridges, and crowns, we’ll refer you to one of the specialists within our network. We know lots of amazing dentists who will be able to help!
